Underwater Photography Magazine is available in PDF format. You must have Acrobat Reader 5.0 or better installed on your computer to view the Underwater Photography Magazine issues. We plan to add download files for each issue in segments soon. This will be a more reliable method for readers with slow dial-in connections. |

They are best viewed by saving the file on your machine using a right click and selecting "Save target" or "Save Link" as described below. If you click on the "Download Issue" link and have a slow connection, you may see a blank screen for a very long time as the issue downloads.

Internet Explorer (5.0): right click on "Download Issue X" and choose 'Save target as' Netscape Navigator (4.7-6.2): right click "Download Issue X" and choose "Save link as" Use the "Save as" dialogue box to choose where to save the UwPx.pdf file for future viewing. As a test, try downloading this 37Kb file: You may also click on the"Download Issue" link and the issue will slowly open in Acrobat Reader and display the file as it downloads. However this is prone to transmission errors, very slow and the file will not be saved. If you use this method, Use the "File/Save As" tool in Acrobat Reader to save your copy of UwP for faster viewing and for viewing offline. |

Explorer: Click and hold "Download issue" , then select "download link to disk" Netscape: Click and hold on "Download Issue", then choose "Save this link as" then select Format "Source". As a test, try downloading this 37Kb file: If you just click "Download Issue" the magazine will slowly open in Acrobat Reader and should be fully open in less than 5 minutes. You must then "Save as" and "Source" and the file will take less than 10 minutes to save. If you don't do this, the file will not be saved and you will have to download again. |
UwP Instructions for Best Viewing UwP is best viewed "same size". Any larger and the images will pixelate.
If you have a large monitor (20" and larger),
you may set Acrobat Reader to view the pages
and see the magazine as it was originally
planned and paginated. Choose:
- "Continuous, facing"
- "Same size"
On monitors smaller than 20",
choose:
- "Continuous
- "Same size"

THUMBNAILS TAB: Viewing Pages
On the left edge of your screen are 4 tabs. Select the "Thumbnails" tab to see small images of each page in the issue, in order. You may use this to jump quickly between pages in the magazine.
FIND TOOL: Searching
Acrobat Reader has a text search function. To use this function, click on the binocular icon (or Select Edit/Find and enter the words to find.
NAVIGATION:
If you are not familiar with using the Acrobat Reader, take a few minutes and read the Acrobat help document. There are many ways to navigate to specific pages within a document.
SIZE:
UwP is best viewed "Same Size" or "Actual Size" so that the images do not pixilate. If you have a small monitor you may want to enlarge the text to greater than actual size for easier reading.
Use the Zoom Tool in magnify or demagnify pages. The icon for this tool is a magnifying glass with a "+" for zooming in (magnifying) or a "-" for zooming out.
Size can also be controlled with the "Fit Page in Window" or "Fit Width" tools. The icons for these windows are a page with the corner turned down.
